Customs charge "market value" (they have a red book) plus postage, if you're unlucky. If you're lucky they'll just go by the price quoted on the sticker plus postage. Either way, the only stuff you can really get in under the radar are small/light things... for cars i guess that'd be boost controllers and ECUs and the like. It sucks, but that's life with protectionist trade policies...
