Isn't the JDM version of the R28 and the RA35 a bit of an overlap? It looks like it is from the info above.
Some European markets - Greece and UK are at least two that I am defintely sure about - also got the ST of the TA versions (slightly off topic I know) with the 2T-B. The GT was sort of available to special order in the UK, but at least they could get them! 
It is totally crazy how these two markets - one poorer than Australia and one where Japanese cars were not yet firmly established - they could get them but in Australia, where Japanese cars and Toyota were well established by this time...we missed out.
A huge pox on AMI / Toyota Australia  for their mulitude of sins past and present... no RT75 GSS, no RX22 GSS, no TA GT, no RA GT, no Corona GTs, no Levins, no cool Crown hardtops, no ST165 GT4's - need I go on?
