Hi,

There's website that's dedicated to crap service and stuff like that. Damned if I can remember it now. People that get crap service and that put the place and incident on the site.

Assuming you speak to this mechanic and get no-where, you inform them of the website. Maybe they'll check it out and see their place of business being slagged on the net for the world to see how crap they are.

Failing that, crank up your own website and tell them that they got an honourable mention. Hopefully, they'll go and see their name there and see that they've been pinged for being a bunch of dunderclumps.

Other than that, there is very little you can do, except tell whoever, whenever to avoid at all costs.

A friend of mine got fried with bad service from a local Holden dealer. He spoke to them but got nowhere, so he stuck a set of roof racks on his Nova with a sign on it that told of their crap service and attitude. He used to park it in their car park - until they told him to get lost - so he parked it outside the dealership. They tried to get the cops, but there is very little they could do. Apparently it really pissed off the dealership, but in the end, nothing came of it and he sold the Nova and bought a proper Toyota. I don't think he's had a problem since.
