What Can Stop a 4age Reving Out Tue, 01 October 2002 09:05 Go to previous message
Today at the M2 toll gates i took off quickly, accelerating to about 5000rpm in first, then upto second and decided to push it a little, when the tacho needle hit about 6400 my car just died.It was like what normally happens when you hit the 7500rpm redline except that it happened at 6400rpm.My engine used to rev out right to the redline but this is really the first time i've pushed the engine for quite sometime.I'm a much more calmer driver now, cauz i'm on a probationary license.Other info is that it'an ae82 corolla with a later ae92 100kw engine and i'm using the standard computer with a 20v gearbox and i'm also using premium unleaded

ANY HELP PLEASE

Cheers Adrian
