Then he can just wait until he is 21+ before he can insure it. From the sounds of things - Engine sounds nice and hot. I would maybe look for a twin side draught carbi set up but only after the rest of the car has been looked after. - Make sure the suspension is in good condition. If it is ok then leave it. If it is avarage then go a little lower and upgrade the springs rate. - How bad is the paint??? Give it a heavy cut and polish then a good buff and see what the old girl looks like after than (con a few mates into helping) - With 3 grand to spend I would upgrade the interior and the wheels after the above mentioned stuff. Don't worry about a big sterio system yet as you wont be driving the car for a year and a bit so you can save up for those things latter. So 1. Engine sounds ok. So long as it runs well, leave it. 2. Get the suspension upgraded. Don't waste money on fancy shocks and camber tops yet. Just good shocks, heavier rated springs and a good set of bushes and sway bars. 3. Clean up exterior. The thing doesn't have to be a show stopper but you must take pride in your ride. 4. Do up the interior. Nice seats (you can do better than stock silvia). I would look into the OBX range of seats as they a cheap but well made and very comfortable. Nice carpet and a good sterio. Go for a really good headdeck but around average speakers as they are easily replaced when you have more money. hope this helps Cheers Mad RS [Report message to a moderator]
