Perhaps i should clarify... the steel brackets I made up don't mount to the radiator at all; they attach via four bolts to the radiator support panel. The fan is still fairly close to the radiator, however. If I notice it getting too hot, or vibrating too much, I'll look at getting some nonmetallic washers
