that was assuming around 450cc per cylinder. Perhaps 37-38mm chokes if you're revving it that hard, but can you even get chokes that big for 40mm DHLAs?

Unfortunately 45mm DHLAs and especially DCOEs are stupidly more expensive than 40mm, not to mention way harder to find. Could you perhaps adapt a set of 20v blacktop throttles instead, and run EFI? (yes, lots more $$)

I still reckon tune it for where you'll be driving it most of the time. 7500rpm is fine on a race track, but it's not your typical commuting style. Smaller chokes should make it noticeably more pleasant at everyday engine speeds.

edit: found this on ebay... it's not the book I have, but it might be useful. also this. note the price!
