dude, when i was a mechanic i did millions of brakepad swaps... not sure if you need to know everything but im bored at work... Smile

firstly pull out the old pads. shouldnt be too hard.

Some pistons (not many) are on a thread and have to be wound back. most though need only be pushed back. A big set of multigrips or a screw driver can do this.

Make sure you crack the bleed nipple first.

Clean and lube up the slides so they operate freely

once you have finished the whole swap wash everthing with water cause brake fluid eats paint! make sure there is enough fluid in the master cylinder and pump the brake pedal slowly to get pressure back in the lines. then get someone to hold there foot on the brake and crack a nipple which will allow the pedal to go down and air to be bled out. then tighten up the nipple and get them to pump the brake slowly again until it is firm. do this three or four times or until it is a good pedal.

do both sides. you should start on the side which is furthest away from the master cyl.

the discs must be super clean also before you bed in the brakes. try not to get anything on them or the pads. if you do then clean them well.

to bed in pads you need to drive up to around 60ks then apply the brake normally until you slow down to 5ks. then speed up and do again for around ten times altogether. leave around 100 metres between applications of the brake. this allows the brakes to stay reasonably cool cause if you overheat them during bedding them in they will never be very good.

go easy on them for a few days.

hope this helps!
