Oil temp gauges can be difficult to fit to a standard engine as you have to find somwhere to put it in the oil flow! If you have (or are planning to) mount a remote filter kit or an oil cooler, then many of the sandwich plates can accomodate temp and preasure senders. Ther are companys that make a sandwich plate (goes between the filter and the block) so you can add in temp and preasure senders. This might be the easiest (mabey not the cheapest tho) whay to do it.

Personaly, I'd go an electrictronic one for a couple of reasons:
- No chance of an oil leak in the cabin, especialy under presure.
- You can mount the gauge easier as you dont have to worry about routing an oil line
