A lot of the piggy back type compters are fuel only.
Not being a hugely knowledgeable bloke when it comes to lpg, I only know that it will be really cranky if you don't modify the spark from the petrol map. I think it is due to the octane rating being higher, it burns slower, hence needing more advance or something. I am sure someone else can fill you in on the theory. I've only had one LPG car and never liked it enough to want to look into how/why it works.
