Can be interchanged with 2r but why would you. 18r motors do not interchange without changing gearbox as well and modifying engine mounts although this not a difficult conversion.Would also need to change diff centre. If you want more go would definetly look at swapping in an 18r or 18rg motor and putiing 79 to 82 hilux/hiace disks on front. Basically most stuff from hiaces and hiluxes up to the early 80's can be used [Report message to a moderator]
