hey all..
Well the 4age is all put back together and back in the SX.
Couple of post rebuild questions..
1. How many k's should i drive the thing at a normal pace to let it settle in, ie not reving it too much, etc..
2. Is there anything that i have to do to the ECU? ie reset it?
3. Its got a new clutch and pressure plate. When im driving say in 3rd and coming to a slow down, i disengage clutch, put foot on brake to start slowing, put into 2nd and as i let the clutch pedal out and use it to slow down further, the car does a rather large shaking/shuttering.. However, when i do the same thing but try and syncronise the revs by tapping the accelerator before putting into 2nd, it doesnt happen. Is this just the new clutch/pressure plate that has to settle??
4. What is the optimal timing for the SX in your experience? slightly advanced perhaps? how much?
anyways, help on this and any other ‘pointers’ will be appreciated to get the car finally finished and ensure that it settles properly. Theres been alot of work done to it, and lots of time spent on it, it would be a shame to stuff something up now…
Thanks
