My AE71 panelvan has a T40, all the '71 wagons i've seen have had a T50. The gearboxes are interchangeable, and are externally the same, using the same crossmember, clutch etc.
Not too sure about the tailgate/hatch. They 'look' identical, but the wagon & van have different bumpers too, so maybe they are different. Sorry can't be sure.
Anyone know if the wagons have a 1 or 2 piece tailshaft?
