Jero, as a novice mate be real careful about what you listen too. There is more crap on turbos out there than just about any other aftermarket part. Many turbo shops rebadge turbos with there own names after little or no modification just for the Bling bling and to bump the price. Some shops mix and match different wheels and housings, again so they can call it their "special" when in reality it's just a bitsa. It'll take you a long time to get your head around all the crap out there and you really need an industry connection to be totally confident about all the model numbers and what they really mean.

Ray Halls site is pretty good but you are best off talking to an expert like ray or Bill Keen from ATS in Adelaide who can help you out with what you really need.

To answer your question though both the T25 and the GT25 are from Garrett. They bear no resemblance to each other at all. The T25 is a sleeve bearing turbo and uses old old old wheel design. The GT series turbos are ball bearing design and generally use the new design TO4S wheels. The GT25 comes in a range of trims and a/r's (sizes) for hp ranges from around 280 to 440 hp. The plain T25 would be good for 250hp tops on a good day.
