If the 1GGZE you have is late model then you won't need the original auto controller; the auto is controlled by the main ecu. If it is early model then it will have a separate controller and this will control the auto like it did before with only a few basic inputs from the main ecu.

If you plan to use aftermarket (which is a waste by the way) you cannot control the auto directly but the original auto controller can be made to receive inputs from the aftermarket computer and work like it did before.

Also remember that the1GGE torque converter will be quite different to the 1GGZE and may not be the best for using behind the new engine.
