a condensor is a capacitor. used on points systems to stop the primary flyback voltage going to high and burning out the points.
oldcorollas is right. switched 12V volts to coil (via balast resistor maybe), dizzy on negative side, tacho on negative side.
if ballast resister is used there is probably another wire going directly to positive side of coil which gets 12V when cranking, this compensates for low battery voltage while cranking.
btw, an ignition coil is an inductor.
