The VDO will cost a little more than the ratio box ('stepper'), but IMHO will provide a more satisfactory long-term solution. But, after all that, just how far out is the speedo? Have you checked it (properly, with a stopwatch, not just with the odometer)? What I'm getting at is if there is only "a slightly different rotational value", then maybe you have accidently but neatly corrected the probable factory speedo error and/or natural speedo variation with age [Report message to a moderator]
