Basicly just a matter of cutting the rod down short enough & bolting the original master cylinder to the firewall etc then shortening the brake lines & don't forget to make a small sleave for the new shorter rod so it can't drop out Surprised

This said the only regret is the pitts don't like it & ANY modification to brakes needs a full engineers certificate. I just wacked the booster back on last time (they thought the vl calipers & carpri vented disks where stock) this time I've got a Gt25 stuck in the way so hopfully they wont notice - or possibly the vw if it sits close enough to clear my dump pipe.

So I'd say relocating the m/c and shortening the rod/linkage would be a viable alternative. That is what I will likely be doing if I ever get round to putting the twin 40s on my old 1600 escort van. I reckon this conversion would rule! escort only weighs like 950kg in 1.6 form!!
