Seeing as you've now got spare lights, why don't you chuck the relays in to power both filaments, and lets us know how long they last? If they blow within hours/days/weeks/months, we know it's not worth doing!

thats an interesting idea! but i'm less keen on cracking the new lenses...
yup, hold halfway to 'flash' and both come on.. and it'ds good! which is what prompted the question...
well, i had sealed beams, and they sucked.. then went to cheap halogen lenses with 90/120's, and they were better, but now with the Hellas and 55/60's they are even better.
i think the answer will be in better globes... either xenon "Plus 50" 55/60's... or 55/100's.. since the low beam is fine.. just the high beam is not "road melting" enough...
hmm, we could do a static test of high beam tho (but without the cooling effect of wind) and see how long thing slast... buggered if i'm gonna sit in front of a globe until it blows tho  .. anyone have a datalogging luminesence meter??
