When removing sticky shit: never look past wax and polish remover: it has been extreemly helpful in stripping my car. I took the left over rubber sealant off the chassis around the rear 1/4 glass. I'm pretty sure I used it to remove the glue when I took the bump strips of the 86 (only glued on ). and the pin stripes (along with a scalple ) tho you will need to polish the spot again: AND as soon as you rub the wax and polish remover on, you need to rub it off. YOU don't want to leave any residue. This is VERY important. Note: cause I was painting my doors, I cannot tell you if there were any long term effects. I'm sure someone else will know. or you could " find a spot behind a bumper and check..."
