Can't elp you out, but I have a mate with a workshop down the coast. If you get stuck, he allows people to work on their car in his workshop for $60/week (all tools/power) or $40/week to stuff it in a back corner under a car cover.
Doesn't have heaps of space, so I don't know if the offer extends to people he doesn't really know. Let me know if you get stuck and I'll look into it.
