Engines with sequential injection don't have really big injectors... think about it, the inlet valve is only open for ~25% of the combustion cycle, so the injectors would have to be HUGE, at least 4 times larger than normal... and of course with such big injectors you run into problems with resolution, so your fuel efficiency advantage goes right out the window.
No, they use normal size injectors, but that's OK because sequential injection is only a real advantage at low load/low rpm conditions (ie cruise) when injector duty cycles are less than 25%. Once duty cycles creep above that point it means you've opened up the throttle and the advantage of sequential fire isn't there any more, so the injectors start firing into a closed valve the same as batch fire. It all works out.
