I think you'll find that if the dealer was bought out by another company the new company will have to honour the previous companies quotations, debts etc. unless of course the previous company went bankrupt.
You are not required to have your car serviced by the dealer under new car warranty (in NSW anyway), however, you must prove that it was serviced to the manufacturers log book specifications by a reputable mechanic so as not to breach the warranty.
I'd contact fair trading and see what they say about your problem.
