its prolly more likely there were trying to torch the car or syphon the fuel out..
ive heard sugar isnt really _that_ bad as it dissolves in fuel. Worst comes to worst just dilute it with more fuel, but in some cleaner/octane booster and take it for a thrash and burn it out
