head deck issues

i've got a sanyo head, was pretty reliable for last 8 or so months
now i cant find my receipt and i think its buggered
whats happening is when the car is turned OFF, its drawing a pretty large amount of power from the battery via the 12v costant power wire...
the wireing of this wire looks a little dodgy, somsones tapped into a different wire on the harness, but it seemed to work fine like that for a while.
any ideas whats going on/how it can be fixed? this happened around the same time that my front stock speakers died.... coincidence? or NOT! ???
