if you get adjustable cam gears you cant run vvti...

goto the toda site they prolly have the best selection of cams for the 20v as trd only make one set which are 304 degrees

heard that if u go with higher lift ones you need to change valve springs only as 20v comes with underbucket shims

with a standard computer i dont think you would be able to go to big, so as cams are bout the same price for watever profile you want id buy big, get valve spring kit and aftermarket computer..
just my thoughts
