What sort of car is it? Sugar does'nt do a damm thing in most cars It just desolves and gets burnt away no problem at all! The only reason the sugar would gum things up would be if someone put a few Kg's worth in the tank which I doubt anyone would do!
If you put castor oil in with your fuel it makes the burnt gases smell nice
