Sorry but that's all incorrect.

An MA61 has a rear submember, and as such I would not have made this suggestion if we were discussing an MA61. We are instead talking about an MA70 which, like many other IRS cars, does *not* have a rear submember that the tailshaft travels though.

On an MA70 it is much easier to remove a single piece tailshaft - four bolts at the diff and it's out! The factory two-piece on an MA70 involves four bolts at the diff and two extra bolts for the centre bearing.
