dugie Newcomer Registered: November 2003	Re: stacked the MA61 Sun, 19 September 2004 23:56 UPDATE time. now i've been speakin to the insurance people and the panel beaters, they have been unsuccessful in their efforts to source parts, either new or second hand for the thing, and have given me two (2) options: 1) they write it off and pay me out, as it was insured for $6.2k, minus the excess and the rest of the life of the insurance policy, i stand to get $5k back. 2) i get the car back + the value of repairs quoted, which was $4k, minus the excess and the remainder of the policy i still owe, as it would be cancelled. so in essence, i will receive a cash payout of about $2.8k the dilemma is, do i think that my beat up ma61 with a pos 5me, w58, and a beat up front end is worth $2.2k to me. it isnt really, but it has 1k worth of koni shocks in it that i dont particularly want to give up to the insurance mob. if i could find someone willing to swap their old original shit in there before i hand it over. unfortunately i didnt keep my original shocks cos they were totally fucked, i still have the springs tho, replaced them with king lows. still, looks like there will be a cheap supra come up for auction in canberra soon.
