grafting another dash into an ra40 celica Mon, 20 September 2004 01:27 Go to previous message
I want to update the dash in my RA40 with one from a new car of roughly the same dimensions.
when i was down at the wreckers on the weekend, i came across a dash from another car that i thought wouldn't go too bad in my celica.
so i was wondering what is the best way to craft a dash from another car into mine, has anyone done something like this before.
the dash i measuered up from donor car from A-pillar to A-pillar was about 1370 mm.

the dash in the ra40 from A-pillar to A-pillar is about 1315mm

so the dash is slightly longer...which gies me room to shape to match. but how hard is it to do,do i want to take the metal skeleton that the dash connects to as well and how do i cut a dash down without it looking incredibly tacky?
