If you've blown up R154's, you'll probably blow up a W58. Having said that, if you treat it nicely it should be OK. The JZA80 W58 is definitely a nicer box, it's newer for starters and has cool stuff like synchro on reverse and dual synchro's on 2nd and 3rd. Very nice box to shift.

No you can't use a R154 bellhousing, you need a W58 item. Actually you might as well buy a whole W58 out of a NA MA70 because you'll need the shifter mechanism as well; the JZA80 box has an external shifter which won't line up with your transmission tunnel.
