I pulled the cover off and spayed the inside with bdoy deadener including all of the area's where it buts up against other trim but not on the screw down points. Now it doesn't make a sound. This work for two reasons: It added more tension to the screws as the point of contact with other trim was moved out further It added mass to the part that was vibrating wich changes the resonant frequency as well as making it require more energy to move the component Of course you can use proper interior insulation either sheets or spray on stuff for this, I only used body deadener because I had a can laying around from tidying up my engine conversion.
