This turbo is from 2003 Opel Omega 2.5TDS. This Opel has license made BMW engine in it. So the same turbo can be found from new BMW 525TDi also. Sounds like the MB turbo is upper grade with electronic actuator. Have you thought how are you going to control the electronics? Does it have waste gate? I paid 200€ (~350AUD) for my turbo. It has done only 9000km, so it's a virtually brand new. Only slight oxide on actuator as you can see . Test bench for this turbo will be 18R-GTE . BTW. I have a short GIF animation of the variable vanes. I you want it I can Email it. It's 550kb. [Report message to a moderator]
