a good way to rip the paint off fast is to go and but a $99 230mm grinder from bunnings and buy a 200mm backing disc (for sticky discs) and buy a few 200mm sticky discs that are 36 grit. this ripps it off good. u gotta becareful about goin over edges with these things thoug, u can ripp them easy.
if you are gunna use this method, u will need to spray ure car with etch primer.
