Wed, 09 October 2002 07:11 Seems like the big system is screwed in other countries as well besides here in the northern Europe. Get this - buggers on the doll here will loose a lot of dosh if they even try to do the decent thing and work part time (like 2 days a week or so). End result is that doll buggers get paid more money if they decline all part time job offers and stay home! How screwed up is that? How much is doll compensation over there? Ova here doll compensation is 60% of your gross salary for the first 500 days when you get unemployed. You have to pay taxes and all outta that 60% you get. After 500 days on the doll the dosh gets significantly smaller, but cannot remember exactly how small. Well - it doesn't go next to nothing if one happens to be uneducated refugee from Africa. Those buggers are taken care of. BTW, how much are taxes in Australia. Over here we have to pay compulsory pension fees, medicare and territorial taxes. All this will amount to 35 to 50 percent of gross income. It's not uncommon to see some people pay more than 50% in some cases.
