Fri, 24 September 2004 02:59 Certainly do feel sorry for them if they have to fit pipes in the terribly restricted amount of space available when engine is in.its gotta take time and time is money!$55 an hour at these shops normally. I havent used Exotic but I have also heard they do excellent work to the extent that they are booked ahead normally.Gonzos race pipes Wynnum get talked about a bit too. It seema there truly are some shops out there that will do anything.Provided you dont want a stainless flange on it lol. I have settled on a quote after being told by some that they didnt want my work as It was too hard and they were too busy.I also made it clear that the quote had to be competitive,wanted to liase with the fitter to know exactly how it would be fitted and details of components being used. Some welcomed this approach others were clearly great with pipes but too much work on to take time with the more difficult customers. $55 an hour,dont want to talk for free! I realise we all have a favourite exhaust shop and I am sure we all like to believe that we parted with our money in a good way and will therefore support the decisions we made. Not much point in everyone listing the shop they used and why,it will get quite repetitive.I hope you agree. Anyone NOT happy with product range available in Aust.Exhaust pipe related? ie Walker is often out of stock.At time of posting try and purchase a 3.5" muffler ie race magnum.Yes,you can get one made for 300-340.
