i removed the intake (from a wrecked RA40) while engine was still in car - it helps to remove all the wiring and fuel rail first - plus there's a few bolt under the manifold that will cause you some greif.

if you can - remove the manifold runners from the TVIS assembly, and prior to that remove the throttle body and CSI.
