heheheh. for this purpose i have a 32mm impact socket, 3/4" drive, with a 3/4"-to-1/2" drive adapter. heavy bugger, too, and it wobbles the rattlegun around a bit. Got it from Fisher Discounts in Fyshwick, ACT. Great shop. If you're in Canberra and don't know about it, you're a sad case :/
I recommend getting sockets with flaring around where each pair of faces meets - this means that the socket acts upon the flat sides of the nut/bolt you're working on, and doesn't touch the corners. Hence the corners don't get mashed up. Is good. I think it's called "flare-nut" or something.
