Fri, 11 October 2002 02:37 Yeah, parental income screwed me over bigtime. My parents did the silly thing retiring in july the year before (2001) and as such, got some sort of payout/super at the start of the 2001-2002 financial year, meaning that centerstink took my parental income to be something above their cutoff. Hello dipshits! they are RETIRED! no more money earning ... fuuuck me. That screwed me up for an entire year, and now that I _can_ get some money, they tell me that because i did some semesters part time, and some full time, I have exceeded my allowable time at uni. Oh, and they gave me ... wait for it ... 4 days notice! Ta. Suffices to say, that i've had to quit uni, and get a second job. Another thing that pisses me off, is every time i have to ring centrestink, the recorded message on the phone t.a.l.k.s t.o m.e l.i.k.e i.'m m.e.n.t.a.l.l.y r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d. It's positively offensive. About the independant thing tho, if I gain independence, my siblings suffer, from what I have been told. But I think i might just have to start thinking about me over the next 18 months. [Report message to a moderator]
