suprra_girl Occasional Poster Location: Auckland, NZ Registered: August 2004	Re: info on old skool supra 89 (ma71) Thu, 30 September 2004 08:13 wow some ppl that do actually know mk3 supra engine bits hehe yes the 86 87 88 had the 6m half counterweighted crank... 89-92 had fully counterweighted.. 87 89-92 had oil squirters i believe you may be right with the torque figure.. can't see how that would change with just redline being different lol i got the info from... http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/9975/dataBy Subject/GasolineEngines.html#M-series yea stock 1/4 is pretty rought but its alot of weight to haul down the strip tickle em a bit and they do 13's with $1500 of mods and yes head gaskets do go coz of not being torqued enuf from the factory.. factory torque is 58ftlbs that expect that to hold together a 6cyl turbo lol new torque should be bout 75ftlbs with metal head gasket (at least she ain't gonna blow with that ) and brand new head bolts from toyota or get arps hths Suze [Report message to a moderator]
