If you choose to do it that way, yes, the sikaflex with be the only tihng holding it on, but it is dtrong, i mean, if you wanted more you could always countersink screws but that would be prone to cracking the bog eventually..... plus you'd have to find screws that were smalll enough to sit flush with the wing, and that you could still have space to smooth over...
Self tappers are good because you dont have to pre-drill a hole, you can just hold the wing on and start drilling, and it will drill itself thru the wing and the boot....
