ora600 wrote on Sat, 02 October 2004 13:31 | i'm looking for a '70's Celica (preferably 1974 TA22) for sale with rego somewhere in Sydney area. I have a limited budget (round the $2K) and am looking for a car that is currently running and if not registered does have RWC. This is a project car but needs to be roadworthy to keep the misses happy
any assitance appreciated. Thanx in advance.

I dont know the world about celicas or cars for that matter. But if i were you id increse my budget to at least 3 As then you will find nicer ones and even some mods done already to save you the time and money. Il ask my mate 4 u. If its a project car and considering u want a 74 model or around that its quite definate its going to be off the road for quite long periods of time at once, i think you should try and expolain to her as hard as it will be that its like making a model car, you cant attact the wheels to the box it comes in and be satisfied. keeping it regoes throughout the time itl take you to rebuild it will be a pain in your asss and cost nearly as much as the car in the long run. Up2 u though. Theres quite a few around which come with rwc and have conversions done already with engineers already, but thats at doble your budget I hate these scenarios im in the same boat too. Im 18 i want a 23 and i havnt got much cash:( and somehow i have this feeling if i dont get one soon theyl become extinc eventually. Il keep an eye out 4 u and ask my mate. Im in sydney too so if you hear of the 76 or 77 model ra23 ot ta23 for sale around the 1 grand mark LOL maybe 2 but thats stock with a decent body, but anything up4 grabs im interested in at this point. Also ask your missus if she feels like spoiling you cos iv got a nice ring i want to sell with a pigeon blood ruby in it with diamonds
