Its been a while since i have been behind the cluster but, from memory to remove the clip lift the clip which is attached into the groove to the cluster. Don't lift too much else you might break the clip.

I know its a tight fit behind the cluster, i used to always cut my hands! I got sick of cutting my hands from removing the cluster all the time that i taped up all the sharp edges.

I could be wrong... Can anyone elaborate on it?
