I got the clip off from the cluster, and removed the other end from the gearbox, and then I took it for a drive, to make sure it was the cable that was noisy.....

It was still making the same noise! Rolling Eyes

I was so sure it was the speedo cable...

So, now I'm trying to work out what the noise could be now, it varies with road speed so it's gotta be something like the CV's or the diff, or something else in the gearbox. If it's any of these it's gonna be expensive to fix. Sad
