remove engine from engine bay
remove sump
remove crank pulley and timing cover
loosen rockers and remove pushrods and lifters (no8 may not come out, so gold it up with coathanger)
take off both timing sprockets and timing chain (catch the tensioner)
remove cam thrust bearing
use old headbolt in end of cam, and carefully pull old cam out.
installation is the reverse of pulling out ![Wink](images/smiley_icons/icon_wink.gif)
how 'lumpy' is lumpy? is the base circle of the lobes now below the cast part of the shaft? (ie has the base circle area been cleaned up?
what is height of lobe (measure difference between base circle and base circle+lobe)
if it's too big, you should mod the rocker towers..
