river Forums Junkie Location: Land of Oz Registered: June 2004	Re: abreviations, add ure own Mon, 04 October 2004 11:12 Hi, We had a project once that had CLITORIS as it's acronym, it stood for C-Language Interface To Optimise Realtime Integrated Spreadsheets. Also, had another project that had a Configurable User Network Table, and the acronym was great 'cos when you're looking through hex dumps it stood out and you knew where to look for the relevant info. In a technical document I had to write about the Function-User Control Key, but alas, thought it best to not use the acronym 'cos the user's might of complained. There was this rude old bastard that always spoke in acronyms, so long as it had a C or an F in it - for obvious reasons. There was this old beat up computer and he told me it was a CADCAM machine. Apparently, to him, it stood for C**t All Disk - C**t All Memory. Anyway, I worked with him for 12 years and became quite adept at the F-language (with C extensions) seeyuzz river [Report message to a moderator]
