Corona RT142 Forums Junkie Location: Campbelltown Registered: November 2003	Re: 2S-C LRP Tue, 05 October 2004 03:44 yeh on my instruction manual for my 85 corona which covers both the 22re and 2sc it states that they need an octane rating of 97 which would suggest noraml premium is out of the question. I run either Lrp or optimax in my car but Lrp is only 96Ron thus i shouldn't even use it. There is a definite power difference using optimax though. I could run my car on normal unleaded due to it being fitted with a knock sensor but then I would have no power and it would be shit anyway. Go the 98ron fuel it costs a little more but it is better for the engine in terms of detergents that clean the engine and you will get better fuel economy. [Report message to a moderator]
