I dont think you would be able to go NRMA.. they dont do imports.

It depends on how much your going to insure the car for, and who owns it.

Say if the car was put under your dads name and your a designated driver of the car. It would be heaps cheaper..

Insurance for an 1987 Corolla Twincam 16 was $900 something..
under my dads name and me listed as a driver. Thats for full comprehensive and 3k value.

Look around for places that would do imports..
