optionUP Regular Location: Perth, WA Registered: February 2003	Re: Weak points of an ae86 chassis Tue, 05 October 2004 06:01 I think someone on these forums also said something about the point where the chassis rails meet the firewall... can anyone confirm this? ..I remember someone else here saying with powerful cars (200~250 HP) that the roof can buckle just back from the A pillar, especially if the car has a sunroof. Where the B pillar joins the body is also where AE86's commonly rust, I believe, and weaken the body as a result. On a similar theme, I have heard that you can buy (or make) brackets you can bolt onto parts of the car to improve strength/rigidity (not strut braces, but under the body) - any one know where these are generally fitted on the car?
