Use of FCD

My 1JZ Cressida is nearly ready to hit the road. I will be runnig 3" hi-flow exhaust, dumps, Simota airpod, Walbro 255, Malpassi rising rate fuel reg, hiperboost controller (without wastegate control). I will only be running about 5-7psi of boost, and future plans to get the hiperboost wastegate controller.
I just wanted to get an idea of what situations would call for the use of a fuel cut defender. Are they used to take away speed limiters and boost limits or do they do more than that?
I read in a post that was dated about a year ago when Celicamad was close to releasing his boost controller, and it said something about his system having a built in FCD? Can anyone clarify on this please?
And just another question, how can you use the 2JZ map sensors to get by boost cuts? To my understadning there good for when your only planning on using <18psi as this is the 2JZ map sensors limit?
Cheers in advance
